CLUB RESULTS: 03/05/2014

Tourist brochures list the Yarra Valley as peaceful, quiet and enjoyable.  The Melbourne Gun Club certainly did not present itself as peaceful and quiet on this day.  With 29 Guests for our May Come and Try Day, 11 Squads for the much awaited 2 Day Skeet Bonanza, club practice and 9 Squads of DTL competition, the club room and grounds were busy and noisy but most enjoyable for all those who came to participate!

The weather was ok...well for the first part of Saturday, then it continued to get colder and colder with rain being the predominant pest on Sunday.  BUT, this still didn’t dampen the competition.   Best part of the weekend...scrumptious meal provided by Jim Turner and Frank Santoro and the Ladies of the Club.   THANK YOU!

The Committee wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all who attended and to those whose assistance was given to ensure that the Club had a highly successful weekend.

Working Bee Wrap Up!

Thanks to those who braved the heat and came down to give us a hand (Dave and Bonnie Rowland, Paul Pingham, Peter Smyth, Jim Hutchinson, Darren and Tina White, Matt and Andrea Dunkley, Paul and Ross Haslam and Rod Jackson).  Special thanks to Dave Rowland for bringing his excavator and working tirelessly to tidy the grounds.
