CLUB RESULTS: 2014 Yarra Valley DTL Championships

The President and MGC Committee wish to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to all who contributed to the running of the 2014 Yarra Valley DTL Championships.  Without this help, the Club could not present these championships and special thanks must be extended to all the Sponsors who again generously donated towards it.

To our Members, Visitors and Interstate Guests, thank you all for your attendance.  We hope you enjoyed your time and look forward to having you return again next year!  To all the place getters, the Club extends its warmest congratulations and to those who were not so successful, there is always next year!

To the Ladies of the Club who provided the Saturday evening dinner with special thanks to Jim Turner & Frank Santino (both slaved over a hot oven all day) your efforts were truly appreciated.  The main course and sweets were delicious and no doubt enjoyed by all who could partake in the evening!

The first round of the South East Zone shoots was held at Morwell Gun Club on Saturday 15th February (after a close shave with the recent fires in the area and other areas still burning nearby).  There were 23 squads of shooters for the day - a great start to the zone rounds.

Working Bee Wrap Up!

On Sunday 9th February there was a working bee at the club to tidy up the club and grounds in readiness of our big three day shoot coming up this weekend.

Thanks to those who braved the heat and came down to give us a hand (Dave and Bonnie Rowland, Paul Pingham, Peter Smyth, Jim Hutchinson, Darren and Tina White, Matt and Andrea Dunkley, Paul and Ross Haslam and Rod Jackson).  Special thanks to Dave Rowland for bringing his excavator and working tirelessly to tidy the grounds.

Without the generous help and donation of their time, the presentation of the club grounds and the now sparkling club rooms wouldn't be possible.  For those valued members who attended, we thank you - you are appreciated.
