The 'Alfresco' area of the club was not overcrowded with Competitors this Saturday but the warm club rooms had standing room only!  Why…rain, chilly conditions and only 8 degrees, but this did not stop the Members and Visitors who made up the 7 DTL squads entering the day’s events.  Our skeet fraternity enjoyed the warmth of the club rooms to catch up on the news front.

REPORT: 2015 Universal Trench Series

Well what a series the 2015 Universal Trench Series was. We had a great increase in numbers due to the success of last years series and our team at the World Championships in Italy with James Willett winning a Bronze Medal in the Junior section.

Round 1 kicked off in Sydney at the Cecil Park Clay Target Club proudly sponsorerd by Brant & Tania Woodward of Australian Sporting Arms and we had an amazing crowd of 43 shooters turn up in perfect conditions. Some high scores were recorded at this event and it was great to see a lot of new faces having a go at UT for the first time.

REPORT: Mansfield VS Melbourne Gun Glub

It seems this event happened but not much information is being spoken about around the Club.

Obviously the MGC team attended, but somehow failed to bring along their game play with only Roger Esplin winning.

Many varied reasons were given for their poor shooting results, few plausible, mostly all of them not, but at the end of the day congratulations must be given to Mansfield for a great win and very  social and hospitable time.

Growing Old & Incontinent…

Being a faithful water tank of the MGC for 30 years plus and suddenly developing a leak, the hierarchy consulted 'Dr. Rob Carter' who diagnosed no further treatment could be undertaken to cure the illness and suggested that retirement and a new poly tank replacement would be the best option.

I have been given my final notice and will end my days at the Lilydale Tip Retirement Village.
